My grandmother sent me money for my birthday along with a little note in her card reminding me to spend it wisely or save it, phrased in a way that suggested she didn’t think I would without her reminder.
Now I’m really tempted to spend what she gave me on getting a tattoo or something and then send her a letter thanking her and telling her exactly what I spent it on.
